WLC Statement of Beliefs
At WLC Architects, we believe that when public and private enterprises
realize the full potential of their investment in space, buildings, facilities, and land development, they discover opportunities for perfecting work and service environments, meeting community needs, achieving environmental quality, and most importantly, creating a sustaining competitive advantage for the future.
Early in the company's growth it became clear that without a set of boundaries or guideposts, WLC's desire to allow for continued personal and professional opportunities, often referred to internally as a "blue sky mentality", might create a tendency for WLC to drift from its roots as a service oriented design office with a passion for doing the "right thing". In the mid-1980's the Board of Directors, therefore, established WLC's Unifying Principles. These fourteen benchmark guideposts have served the company well and have stood unchanged since they were first adopted in a corporate-wide retreat almost twenty years ago. Much like the nation's Bill of Rights, at WLC we hold the Unifying Principles to be self-evident.
