Mr. DiCamillo has been a principal with the firm since 1988 and as such heads his own studio team. Jim joined WLC in 1983 and through the years has maintained an extremely diversified portfolio of projects including educational, civic, religious, and commercial commissions. Along with his project duties, Jim is also WLC’s Director of Design. In that role he oversees all preliminary design work in the office. Jim’s design work has been recognized at the local, state, and national levels with numerous architectural awards.
Mr. Hensley has been with WLC Architects, Inc. since 1981 and has been a Principal since 1985. Along with his project duties, Bob also assists in overall office management and project accounting. Mr. Hensley’s experience with educational and corporate facilities extends throughout his entire history with the firm. Mr. Hensley understands the level of detail and oversight that is required to produce a successful project that meets both the client’s expectations and the budget constraints.
Mr. Wiens has been a Principal with the firm since 1985 and as such heads his own studio team. Along with his project duties, George is also General Manager of the firm. In that role he oversees all project delivery and support services in the office. Mr. Wiens is responsible for the planning and design of park, recreation, and educational projects including performing arts centers, community centers, and educational facilities. Focusing on creative designs that meet the client’s program, schedule, and budget, Mr. Wiens believes a personal relationship with each project from inception to completion is the key for successful design.
Mr. MacQuarrie joined WLC Architects, Inc. in 1989 and has been a Principal in our Berkeley office since 2004. Mr. MacQuarrie is actively involved in all aspects of a project, from the first contact, to assuring that the needs of the project are being addressed through the design process. His portfolio of work includes civic, public, college, and K-12 educational facilities. He views each project as an opportunity to enhance the life experiences for individuals who live within a community.
Mr. Medina has been with the firm since 1985 and has been a Principal in our Folsom office since 2002. Max is responsible for assuring that project design and document preparation within the Folsom office is of the highest possible quality. His experience includes civic, educational, commercial, and public safety facilities. His talents in design, document preparation, estimating, and construction administration have resulted in numerous successful projects in northern and central California.
Mr. Needham joined WLC Architects, Inc. in April 1986, and has been a Principal since 2003. He has brought to the firm a wide variety of experience and expertise in project design and construction document preparation. His architectural education was taught with a strong emphasis on human needs and how to integrate them into the built environment. This emphasis was combined with a methodical and logical design process geared toward the achievement of appropriate design solutions. He has experience in a wide variety of project types but has specialized in the design of civic, educational and essential service facilities.
Mr. Graham joined WLC Architects, Inc. in 1988 and has been a Principal in our Rancho Cucamonga office since 2012. He is actively involved in all aspects of the project design process, from the initial meeting to post-occupancy evaluation. His portfolio of work includes civic, public, K-12 and higher education projects. Mark has focused the majority of his work on new, modernization, addition, reconstruction and adaptive re-use of existing facilities for K-12 and higher education. He believes that “the best architects endeavor to understand the client’s functional and aesthetic needs and formulate these requirements into a successful, yet creative solution.”
Bill Louie joined WLC in 1984 and has been a principal in our Folsom office since 2012. In his role as a Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Louie is responsible for the complete delivery of the project from Concept through Occupancy. Over the past three decades, Mr. Louie has garnered experience in specialized areas of civic and educational architecture. His in-depth experience includes a diverse range of project types including educational, community/senior centers, civic/ performing art centers, and office space planning.
Leo Ray-Lynch joined WLC in 2003. In his role as a Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Ray-Lynch is responsible for the complete delivery of the project from Concept through Occupancy. Mr. Ray-Lynch is also responsible for oversight of the Project Budget, Schedule, and Scope. He has provided design, planning, and development services for a variety of educational, commercial, retail, civic, and housing projects throughout California.
Wendell is recognized as a leader in Educational and Civic Planning and Design within California, nationally, and internationally. Notably for the design and completion of innovative, cost effective, learning and responsive community environments. With more than 30 years of experience, he provides each project team with a collaborative, inquiry based leadership approach, and a holistic environmental design perspective. Wendell has based his career, on the fundamental belief that the most important service an architect can offer is the ability to listen, learn, and synthesize each client’s goals and ideas into a cohesive design. He has been an invited speaker on innovative educational planning and sustainable design nationally and internationally and maintains a passionate commitment to collectively inspire thoughtful design.
